What is a Strategic Plan?

A Strategic Plan assists the library staff and trustees to develop an action plan and prioritize library projects by assessing both where we are and where we are going. Keeping in mind unexpected trends and changes in the profession, the plan is designed to allow the library flexibility to adapt its services, programs, and events to best meet our long-term goals. The Strategic Plan is designed to help us do that in stages with specific action plans in mind. 

Conditions in the library district are also subject to change and, as Louisburg Library grows and evolves, the library's activities are expected to adjust in order to respond to those shifts. Despite anticipated changes, the Louisburg Library will maintain its mission, vision, and values, which guide the Strategic Plan. The 2024-2026 Strategic Plan can be found here.
