3D Printer Information

3D printing is a form of technology that uses a digital model to build a physical object by adding material layer by layer.

Louisburg Library has 1 reservable Bambu Lab Carbon CX-1 3D printer.

The Bambu Lab Carbon CX-1 printer has a maximum print space of Build Volume (W×D×H), 256 × 256 × 256 mm

Download Free 3D Print Files

To print, you will need a 3D model in a .stl file format on a flash drive.  If you are looking for ideas or free files to download, check out the following sites:

Can you help me design my project?

Staff is not currently available to assist with the design, but staff will assist in setting up the job to print  Look for classes in the future on 3D printing and design.

How To Reserve a Print Time? **Coming Soon**

Print jobs can be emailed to [email protected].  They must be in .STL file format.  Currently 3D print jobs are limited to a max of 4 hour print jobs during working hours and print jobs that are more than that will be setup for overnight prints that will not be monitored for issues.  Cost

The Maker Space provides PLA filament in a variety of colors for patrons to use. There is no cost to use the equipment however donations are always welcome.   All you need is a valid library card in good standing.

Does it always work?

A failed print is always a possibility. Please ensure you have adequate time to finish your project or start over if need be. Good model design is key in preventing print failures.
